Yamba is a Luganda word meaning help. There is a Luganda saying that “Oku Yamba okutono kusinga okusaasira okungi’’. This saying simply translates as , “A little help is better than many comforting words or lots of compassion”.

The Lord Jesus through the parable of the good Samaritan taught about this. Luke 10:33-34 “But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.”

Its important to act on our heartfelt compassion just like the Good Samaritan did.

Many of our students are very needy and deprived. We have designed a program to meet their different needs like shoes, uniforms, socks, tuition, food, sweaters, books, pencils, crayons, bags, basic medical treatment etc.

Our school year is divided into 3 terms. Each school term a minimum of US $60 can cover the needs of a child. Since a school term is 4 months, US $15 per month is the sponsorship amount for one child. A sponsor can sponsor more than one child.
